Terms of Use

KiraTax is operated by AMET HAKEEN MEDIA (SSM Registration No. 202603007216 / 003810621-K) (“we”). By creating an account or using KiraTax, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use KiraTax.

1. What KiraTax is

KiraTax helps freelancers and online sellers in Malaysia organise income and expenses and estimate income tax. KiraTax is not a government agency and is not affiliated with LHDN. KiraTax does not file tax forms on your behalf; you file them yourself through MyTax.

2. Estimates, not advice

Tax figures, reliefs, dates and guidance in KiraTax are estimates for planning, and are not tax, accounting or legal advice. Rates and rules can change, and your situation may differ. For important decisions, consult a licensed tax agent or LHDN.

3. Your responsibilities

• Check every record for accuracy, including transactions read automatically from statements, receipts, notifications or payout files. Automatic reading can make mistakes.
• Make sure what you report to LHDN is correct, complete and on time.
• Keep original records and documents for the period required by law. KiraTax does not replace this duty.
• Keep your account, password and phone secure.
• You must be at least 18 years old.

4. Prohibited use

Do not use KiraTax for unlawful purposes, to upload other people’s data without permission, or to disrupt, automatically copy or try to break into the service.

5. Your data

Your records remain yours. How we process and store them is explained in the Privacy Policy. You can export your data and delete your account in the app at any time. Export first, because deleted data cannot be recovered.

6. Changes and interruptions

We may add, change or discontinue features, and the service may occasionally be interrupted. If fees are introduced, we will tell you first and you can choose not to continue. We may suspend accounts that breach these terms.

7. Limitation of liability

KiraTax is provided “as is”. To the extent allowed by law, we are not liable for indirect losses, penalties, additional tax or data loss arising from using KiraTax or relying on its estimates. These terms do not limit rights that cannot be excluded under Malaysian law, including the Consumer Protection Act 1999 where it applies.

8. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. Important changes will be announced in the app or on this site. If you keep using KiraTax afterwards, you are taken to accept the new terms.

9. Governing law

These terms are governed by Malaysian law.
